Project Graduation

What Is Project Graduation and Why Do We Do It?

As a rite of passage, Graduation Night is unequaled in the eyes of youth. It is a night to be proud, to celebrate past achievements, and to look forward to the future. Some teens mistakenly think that the best way to celebrate graduation night is to attend parties involving drugs & alcohol resulting in hangovers, embarrassing memories, trouble with their parents, friends and/or the police. Some others were not so lucky. The original Project Graduation event grew out of a wave of tragedies that occurred in 1987 & 1988, in Maine, resulting in the death of 18 students in drug and alcohol related accidents on graduation night. Graduation night is statistically one of the most deadly nights for seniors; as a result the State of Maine has led the Project Graduation mania across the nation. PTSA of Johns Creek High School is providing this supervised event for your graduating senior.

JCHS Project Graduation will take place at Dave & Busters.  This all night celebration will be held following graduation on Friday, May 23, 2014, starting at 11:30 pm. Students will have access to unlimited Bowling, Movies, Dancing, Karaoke, and Gaming Machines. We are working on many exciting activities such as Casino Night, a Photo Booth, and Mark Irish, a renowned Hypnotist. Food and beverage will be provided all night long with breakfast in the morning.

You may turn in your completed form below and your check (made payable to JCHS PTSA and mark in the memo line “Project Graduation”) to the front office. Or pay online through Paypal.
