Mentors: Some student clubs (eg. Robotics, Mock Trial, DECA) could benefit from mentorship from our parents. If you have experience in professional or technical fields, they could use your help. This is an excellent opportunity for our PTSA Dads to get involved. Photographer: Take and post photographs for PTSA events and the Wall of Excellence which recognizes students achieving high scores on the SAT and ACT. Health Services: Promote and support events including Red Ribbon Week, Student Blood Drives, National Safety Week, and Wellness Wednesdays. Student Ambassador Assistant Coordinators: Work with students on leadership and service projects. Report Writer: Compile, create and edit reports submitted to local, State, and National PTA for award consideration. Membership: Assist JCHS PTSA membership committee in various events. Office Volunteers: Work a shift or sub for openings as needed. Sign people in, deliver messages, and other office tasks. Attendance Office: Help in the attendance office by answering phones, signing in students and assisting those in line. College Fair and College/Career Center: Help with PTSA College Fair in spring, assist with JCHS College Career Center and guidance throughout the year. Other Administrative Support: We will contact you throughout the year for various needs such as book distribution/collection and AP test proctoring. Business Partners Liaison: work with our JCHS Asst. Principal to coordinate and manage the support from local businesses for our school. Teacher & Staff Appreciation : Help plan and coordinate teacher and staff appreciation week “treats” for a week in April. Hospitality: We serve several lunches and breakfasts throughout the year to honor our teachers and staff. It’s a great way to get to know other parents and those who work with our students every day. Food & Drink Donations: If your schedule does not allow you to be at school but you want to help appreciate teachers and staff, sign up here. We’ll contact you when we need food items.
